The two are pronounced differently, Dan. Lhuyd's <ẏ> is [ə].
kylik, kyligi would be [ˈkɪlᵻk], [kᵻˈlɪɡi].
colik, coligi would be [ˈkɔlᵻk], [kᵿˈlɪɡi],
Nicholas' suggested kelik, keligi would be [ˈkɛlᵻk], [kəˈlɪɡi].
Perhaps the third one best serves.
