Breton is not Cornish, Steve, and has a very different history from
Cornish.
It is not relevant here.
I am not clear about your position. First you said there was only one
phoneme.
Now you say there were two, but that the distinction was neutralised
in 'polysyllabic finals.' That is
a very different thing indeed. I am confused.
Please explain what you mean.
