We do recognize this in KS, but in fairness, the orthographic forms  
<gavar> and <gaver> would both have the same neutral schwa  
[ˈɡævəɹ]. A form *<gavủr> would tend towards the u-coloured  
schwa [ˈɡævᵿɹ] and a form *<gavyr> would tend towards the i- 
coloured schwa [ˈɡævᵻɹ].
