The texts have gaver. I see no reason why Jener, Nance and all who followed
should have standardised gavar. So, in Revived Cornish there have been two
forms gaver and gavar around for 20 odd years. There is no change, just a
choice. If there is such a choice I would tend to follow the texts.

Revived Cornish has had <gavar> from the beginning. Even Jenner has gavar,
p, 80, and again p. 87 where we find davas/deves and gavar/gever."
