[Spellyans] y-umlaut in 'Beunans Meriasek' ?

What happens with the verb "passya", where the Y is unstressed?  In  
Late Cornish (c.f. John of Chyannor), we're given "passiez".  So, is  
this an exception?  Is the past participle passys or passyes?
